
COVID-19 vaccinations across the country

Limpopo province confirms that it is ready to roll out its vaccination program.
March will be seeing many health professionals getting vaccinated.
Limpopo Health MEC, Phophi Ramathuba said that though they went through a lot of difficulties during the initial digital registrations, they are now ready to vaccinate people.
Ramathuba said that they received their first batches of the vaccine on Friday 26 February.
The province has set up two vaccination centres in the province to date.
The Phase 1 vaccination programme was launched by the MEC, who was also the first citizen to be vaccinated in Limpopo.
She however said that they will need an additional 6000 vaccines to inoculate health workers.
“While we have written and made a request for an additional 6000, we’ve developed our own categories of classification of those that will be vaccinated, which we will be utilizing towards vaccinating, Ramathuba said.
Bela Bela Hospital spokesman Buti Moagi said that they haven’t started with vaccination at Bela Bela Hospital.
“We are looking forward to vaccinate our workers but will communicate shortly about that” he said.
