Bela-Bela like other towns when is festive season crime goes up and with at least help of the community policing forum (CPF)
Bela-Bela‘s CPF has recently resumed after it took a break during lockdown and other restrictions and have on 30 November resumed their work.
The members who consist mostly of community members will be moving around town also checking some of the crime spots and also looking out for people that are flouting the government’s Covid protocols.
The team will be led by the Bela Bela crime prevention team headed by SAPS Bela-Bela Communication spokesperson Sergent Frans Maponya and his team from SAPS.
Most crimes during festive range from card scamming, shoplifting and also car stealing when people park cars without locking them.
