When they say dynamite comes in small packages, one person comes to mind in the form of Bela-Bela‘s youngest hip hop artist Simon Ramoroesi, well-known as 28 Baby.
Ramoroesi, 15 years old, was born and bred in Bela-Bela town Limpopo Province, and started rapping at the age of 10 years.
‘I entered a recording studio at the tender age of 10 years,’ he said.
‘My first own written single was recorded when I was 12 years old and I recently released an album called L.O. 28.B (Life Of A Baby) which was released on 28 of April last year,’ he added.
On the ten-track album, he worked with members of the collective rap group called Entity, Spooky B, Lu- eezy, Sipe Ash and Chamber among others.
The grade 11 Hoërskool Warmbad leaner said he has never had a problem handling his schoolwork and his love for music.
His first live show performance was earlier in September when he was performing for the All White party hosted by Agent Sexy at Bela-Bela‘s Club Paradise.
He left people begging for more.
Asked what inspired him, he said people like American rapper Bow Wow who also started at a young age.
