
Kabelo Kgositsile for Amajimbos
Former Bela-Bela Academy left winger, Kabelo Kgositsile who just joined Limpopo‘s development side of Baroka FC, has now been called up for the under-17 national team.
The 16-year-old dribbling wizard was called up among a group of 26 players for final preparations ahead of the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON)
The under-17 men’s’ team have reported at the SAFA National Technical Centre in Gauteng to complete their preparations for the Total under-17 AFCON tournament scheduled for Morocco in March.
Amajimbos (U17 national team) have been drawn in Group C of the tournament together with West African opponents, Cameroon, Senegal and Mali, and will be looking to sharpen up before leaving for Casablanca.
Head coach Vela Khumalo told the media that he called up 26 players to form part of the provincial squad and will be looking for the best 21 players who will represent South Africa in the continental showpiece from Saturday 13 March to Wednesday 31 March.
All eyes will be on this young boy hailing from the small town of Bela Bela, joining him also from Limpopo, will be Thato Sekgolela from Mokwebo Academy.
In other news, four players from Bela Bela Academy were expected to undergo a trial assessment at Baroka FC.
The four, Kgomotso Mokhanda 17 years old, Alan Maphologela 18 years old, Kgaugelo Sebola 18 years and Gontse Molokomme 17 years old were expected to be on trial for Baroka FC’s reserve side from Monday 1 March.
